Dr.Will & The Wizards

The man is a legend. The powerful-voiced Dr. Will, adorned with a buffalo tooth necklace and a feathered top hat, looks like he stepped straight out of a Tarantino movie. But this guy is the real deal: an entertainer and a gentleman. A wonder doctor wandering between heaven and hell.

Dr. Will never loses sight of musical quality in the process. His albums "I Want My Money Back" (2020) and "Cuffs Off" (2015) each won the Quarterly Prize of the German Record Critics' Award. Dr. Will is an outstanding composer, lyricist, and producer. Blues and roots are in his DNA.

The fact that every member of his hellishly good band, The Wizards, is a bit of a nut-job puts the crown — or rather, the top hat — on his act. With thundering double bass, buzzing banjo picking, magical guitars, and Dr. Will himself on stomping stand-up drums, the band creates a sound all their own.

This group from the deep south of Germany brews their unique magic potion with a hefty dose of blues infused with New Orleans vibes, a dash of roots music, a generous spoonful of rock, and a good helping of humor. Grounded yet out of this world.

For 20 years, this “madness on eight legs” has been electrifying clubs, halls, and festivals all across Europe. To mark the occasion, Dr. Will & The Wizards are presenting a cross-section of their work.
